Actually just pretty recently I was pretty high when I looked back and thought "holy shit, I've smoked just about nonstop for months.... to the point where I've slacked off my responsibilities just to spend more time high" and even though when I was sober all I wanted to do was get high, whenever I got high the thought reminded me that I was fucking up and throwing a lot of my life away. Weed is not an addictive substance but there are some people who are very prone to being psychologically addicted to ANYTHING, and that's always been me, which I only realized recently while high.

Anyways now I've sort of set up a system for myself where I can't smoke unless I've completed all my responsibilities that day. I don't necessarily HAVE to do all my homework for instance, but if I don't, then I don't smoke that night therefore turning my personal addiction into a motivating factor, and it's working wonders so far.
