Unfortunately I have to admit a certain bias. You see, I was born and raised in the deep South, and I still live here. I'm surrounded by good Christian people that spread hate and vitriol as easily as they spread peanut butter - here, at the very least, the status quo of the loudest Christians is anger, bitterness, and homophobia - I repeatedly mentioned that I knew this wasn't the majority opinion and stance and I promote that understanding in my daily life and in my writing. Though it is not the majority opinion it is the loudest and easiest to find opinion - and most Christians in my area are scared to stand against it. My biases are entirely a result of my life experiences in the Deep South as both a Christian, a minister, and as an apostate.
