Thanks! Both first cardigan and beard for me.

Thanks! Good call on the pants, they are looser than what I normally wear.

I'm 32, so I'm pretty sure I'm old enough to wear a cardigan now :)

Tie is a requirement for where I work. If I wore something like this outside of work though I agree with you.

Grey cardigan w. tie & chinos

This is at work The pics could be better, I'm no photographer. Cardigan is from Le Chateau, shirt / tie / shoes are all italian handmade, can't remember the brands.

Hey Neil,

You used to have a wicked over-the-phone book club, but you left it after we did Emergency. I think you've started something new up, but why did you leave your original one? Can you post any details on the new one?

New to IF - Cardio on off days by Ransomein leangains

[–]Ransome[S] 0 points1 point ago

I'm going to try it out (1-2 hours of cardio 3x a week) for a month, if I'm losing weight too fast I'll just up my calories.

Ah my bad, I'm pretty sure I did put it to 1.2, as I used the oneyearatatime IF calculator.

Other than general health / feeling good, the main reason would be to allow me to eat slightly more on my non-lifting days. I'd previously been bulking at around 2800 calories a day for the last four months, and I'm finding it hard cutting it in half on my off days.

[Form Check] - Low Bar Squat - 135 Pounds by Ransomein weightroom

[–]Ransome[S] 0 points1 point ago

Thanks! I originally had the bar one hole down, but another gym-goer convinced me to put it up a notch. I wasn't fully convinced, and will be moving it down one. Shifting the weight to my toes has been a known problem for me this whole time, curling up my toes has helped me somewhat, but looks like it's still an issue. I know I should be going on my heels more, but when I go to squat, for some reason I don't seem to be doing it. Is it a mobility issue at all?

Great, thanks! When I'm squatting heavier weight, the dip forward is more pronounced. Apart from the grip/elbows thing, is there anything else I can be doing? I'm not sure if a lack of mobility or strength is causing this.

New to SS: Quesion about dealing with bad form. by Ransomein Fitness

[–]Ransome[S] 0 points1 point ago

Yeah, this is something that I struggle with, keeping a good balance between a good form and really pushing myself. Since this would be the second time that I've dropped down in weight in my squats within my first month, maybe I'm being too cautious.

Yeah, raising the toes up helped a ton for getting me off of them. I'll try to get some videos recorded when I go this evening. Do you know if doing good mornings are generally a flexibility or a strength issue? I'm not doing them on my warm up sets, just when the weight gets heavy for me.

Good call, yeah I'm definitely new to knits. Didn't realize that I had to shape it or anything. Thanks!

Good call, definitely looks less sloppy (though it completely hides the belt/bottom of the tie that way.)

Trying out a cardigan ... am new to this whole cardigan game, but now that things are freezing outside here I figured it was time to give it a try. It's from Le Chateau, and hopefully it fits properly, as it took me a lot of time trying to track something down that does.

I'd like to know the answer to this too. I'm currently lifting in socks, but I'm just starting the SS program, so nothing is anywhere close to heavy.

Good to know! Fortunately I know & trust the person that I buy these suits from, and he goes down himself to Italy for purchases. The suit is definitely a very fine seersucker, you can't really see the pattern at all unless you're up close. I'm just starting out my suit collection, so with my starter suits I've picked ones that don't stand out on their own. I want people to instead notice the shirt/tie, as I have many more of them then my three suits.
