yeah but the 1/4 is so expensive compared to the 1.8.. i can't afford both tokina and 1.4

i'm gonna go with the tokina for sure after watching footage online. was thinking of the 50mm canon 1.8 to go with it, but can you recommend a nice 35mm for me to look into as well?

Ok i've seen some footage taken with it online and wow.. i'm going with this one, + the canon 50mm 1.8! gonna be awesome, i can't wait to go out to the desert and shoot with it :-)

quite a few people recommend the tokina, and it answers my needs of wide-lens and a nice aperture of 2.8, i will definitely check it out - what would you say about a combo of the tokina, and the canon fixed 50mm 1.8?

my plan for the analog lenses is to get the converter and take out lenses from the school equipment warehouse, so i gain experience of what i like, and take my time gathering them.

for now, i'm looking for a wide-lens plus a nice aperture lens - i'm thinking a combination of the tokina 11-16mm f2.8 and either the kit lens (which doesn't have a good aperture) or the 50mm lens 1.8 for the aperture mainly.

what do you think?

(definetly gonna check out the analog lenses you wrote here throughout the coming year though)
