Some redditors here have pointed out you can't use it on alot of the TTC, but just check if they offer it at your TTC stops. Also, they are working to have it system-wide
You get big discountsif you make over 30 to 35 trips. Its calculated automatically.
It will automatically give you a discount if you use a municipal transit system to connect to the GO. For example, your MiWay fare gets knocked down to 70 cents.
If you register it, if you lose your card, no problem! Just call up PRESTO and they will transfer your balance to a new card. Try getting refunded for losing your tokens!

The only reason I would advise against it is if you are extremely forgetful. You have to tap off edit: if you use the GO and if you do forget, its a pain in the ass to then go to a collector and get it straightened out.

I agree. It's one thing to offer refunds so your customers aren't 100% peeved after getting stuck for half an hour. It's another to guarantee this, even when you can brag you meet that 15-minute measure 95% of the time.

Now GO has the incentive to make sure that everything is running smoothly, from infrastructure planners to construction workers, from dispatchers to operators. If anything, its innovative for a government agency.

Yea, I was stuck on the Milton line for 35 mins once due to a signal issue and they offered refunds. I've definitely heard other people getting refunds after a crazy amount of time like that. I think if its approaching half an hour they realize people are pretty irritated.

May I suggest driving to a nearby GO Train station? If it is convenient, the GO is a really quick way to get downtown.
