The rat out card is in there where pretty much at any given time, you can have a rival raided by the feds and any incriminating evidence they have accumulated through robberies ie stiffs, slight dna problem, traceable merch etc must be bribed off or you go to jail. ie, the traceable merch may be a 30.000 bribe or may amount to 6 months inside. In this sense, I've seen players willingly go inside and lose respect because in the long run they wanted to save their money for investing in rackets once they got out. You've made some good points here and you've got me thinking about having another look at the jail and rep relationship. The jailbreak has been suggested before and I did implement a system which met it half way. One of the fronts you can set up is a law firm, but it's really a witness intimidation racket so when busted by the cops, you can pay the owner whatever he wants and in return he can half your jail time.
