Stripped laptop screws. How do you deal with them? by blueoozein techsupport

[–]ManWithoutAPlan 0 points1 point ago*

Try a rubber band or a match head in between the screw and the tool. Or as a last resort try a tool like this.

Edit: As a VERY last resort....with extreme caution, drill a very fine hole right through the screw until it cracks and falls out. Not recommend though.

Is "remote" gaming from a PC two floors away in a house a possibility? by Gormogonin hardware

I did some research and you guys may be right that HDMI cable may not be the biggest factor. Plasma TV(scaling resolution=processing power) and Wireless keyboard/mouse could be greater factors. Also it looks like it was a 100ft HDMI cable.

I have run a +50ft HDMI cable from a PC to a TV on the other side of the room and i can tell you there is a 1-1.5 second delay from mouse movement to seeing it move on the screen. Unless its a turn based gaming, I wouldn't go the HDMI route. I would suggest building a portable gaming system. Micro ATX case with a handle on top...IMO

ViewSonic gTablet on sale at Woot again today ($245) by deathsythein Android

Got one a few months back...great fun playing around with but even at $245 not worth it IMO. Hacking ROM is a pain (1hr for a first timer) as well as the view angles are terrible. I would invest an extra $150 and get the ASUS Transformer..I wish i had. also it is thicker and heavier than other competing tablets

Some reviews of this PSU were about it failing in the first few months, which can happen with any piece of technology. IMO, I would refund it and buy a better quality one. I would not recommend skimping on a big rigs PSU. They can easily fry your whole system. Best of luck

Could be. As long as the folder is shared and is in the 'Video Libray'(right-click on the folder and 'Include in library - Video') this has worked for me for almost 2 years. Also make sure in the 'Advance Sharing' in your network setting that you allow the XBOX to stream media
