My ears are axially coplanar with the tweeters at my seat height and with the mopads at their incline, as is established to be ideal.

Today my girlfriend told me that she would never have kids with a guy with tattoos because she doesn't want her kids born with the tattoos of the father, as if they were passed genetically. When I was in high school, I had been convinced by my church and defended the possibility that a woman could get pregnant from swallowing a load because the sperm would enter her blood stream through vascular tissues and make their way to her uterus.

What are realistic expectations for how guys should treat a lady? by rocketmoosein AskWomen

[–]Kerdek 0 points1 point ago

She should still expect to be treated as though she is loved in that her partner values her; whether or not the initial love should be romantic love, as we often interpret it, is a different issue.

What are realistic expectations for how guys should treat a lady? by rocketmoosein AskWomen

[–]Kerdek -1 points0 points ago

The answer is so simple. When it comes to being treated well, your ideals should be your expectations. Slip-ups are forgiveable, but any dissatisfaction must be communicated. You cannot allow yourself to tolerate chronic mistreatment, however you wish to define that.

Men of Reddit, what is one thing that you think every woman should know? by youdirtfarmerin AskMen

I'm dealing with a very manipulative female friend right now. I'm not normally violent. I'm never violent. The shit she does, the testing, probing, prodding, and digging all make me want to deck her in the jaw. Neither is cool. That shit is infuriating.

If somebody a few feet away can hear your stomach "growling" through all the fat and muscle of your body, does that mean it has to be deafeningly loud INSIDE your body? Is there an actual measurement in dB that can be made? by Aeon_fuzzin askscience

It is not easy for pressure changes in air to excite such in water at their interface. It has to do with the difference in density. The process is very efficient in reverse.

EDIT: It's not just density, it's compressibility as well. It's water's lack thereof that makes it transmit so much faster.

Nice guys don't finish last, they don't even qualify by GoBucs11in ForeverAlone

[–]Kerdek 5 points6 points ago

Moreover, it's perfectly socially relevant in the reddit context being that anybody who might describe themselves as or even pride themselves in being a 'nice guy' is consistently and almost immediately pegged as an asshole who thinks that he deserves sex from women in return for his niceness as though men haven't the perception necessary to reap the intrinsic rewards of being nice. It's as though commenters here and in FA don't seem to understand that men face and deal with the problem of having conflicting feelings or being hurt. Goddamn the misandry is so thick.

I compress pitch kicks and other bass effects using brief attacks and decays. It adds some harmonics and bass dynamics while making the mids and highs more pronounced in the mix.

It's a digitally controlled analog compressor with various curves and a few mods available and it includes some gentle analog harmonic distortion capabilities. It's attack phase is as short as 0.5 us, making it one of the fastest and making it very useful for distorting low frequency sounds and for compressing drums, guitars, and other rapid-attack sounds.

[–]Kerdek[S] 2 points3 points ago

The control curves in Ableton and in Waves are frankly boring and the attack and release respond the same for every ratio. The distressor responds totally differently in every ratio setting. The attack and release are much more natural sounding and transparent, and they can be used to very easily fuck with transients in all kinds of ways.

Only $2900. The entire desk and everything on it is twice as much as my car at this point.
