YUP. And I'm a sun-sneezer so any time I wanna induce it I just look towards that big bright thing in the sky.

I got my Woo from a fellow member of Head-Fi. I'm actually the third owner! Head-Fi's for sale/trade forum is priceless - it's where I've bought most of my equipment. Sure it's used, but you save money but you know it's been in good hands.
As far as the Schiit amps go, they're gorgeous looking but I've yet to hear one. The reviews I've seen are always positive.
If I had money to burn you better believe I'd have a pair of the LCD-3s as well as the HD800s, haha. I'm a soundstage freak so I'm leaning more towards the 800s for that fact alone.
I love my Senns. They work well with me because their high-frequencies are tamed a bit which makes it awesome for long listening sessions and I'm easily fatigued by piercing highs. Their midrange is perfect though, and to me, that's the most important part.
I actually toyed with the idea of getting the D2000s at one point or another but I couldn't justify the cost - I'm just super tight about spending.
I want the HD800s sooo badddd, but the price is hard to swallow :-( One day? lol

In all honesty, I don't even really know about v0.. I don't think I use it? lol. I'm sure it's a fine format, I'm just content with 320 or lossless. #soundsgoodman
Vacuum tubes last for thousands of hours usually. The important difference to note is the sonic differences between solid state and tubes. Tubes, to me, provide a warmth and unique midrange that I really like. Solid state's nothing to shake a stick at but I'll take a little flavor in my cans. Plus, they're just gnarly to look at :-)
I'll say that 320 MP3s and Lossless are pretty identical and there's virtually no sonic difference, but I contend that anything lower than 320kbps has audible flaws. That's just me. I might not always be able to tell right off the bet that it's a lower bitrate but I'm pretty keen on high-frequency grossness, lol.
Nope. That one's news to me.

This article may help. It's got a few related articles at the bottom for continued reading on it.

Thanks for adding that! Also, stay away from Head-Fi if you'd rather keep money in your bank accounts :-D
There's a lot more to it than just pushing more power, probably. All the parts are designed and built based on treating the signal as best it could.
My setup is: iMac --> HeadRoom USB MicroDAC --> WA6 --> HD650s
And yeah, I always insist on lossless :-) I try to get at least 320kbps MP3s. I can usually hear that it's not full resolution if it's any lower and bugs the hell out of me.
Yup, it's a real tube amp but I didn't produce it.

Woo Audio WA6 :-)
I love my Woo! I'm incredibly happy with it.. at least until upgraditis kicks in again, haha. Maybe a WA22 down the line? lol
I honestly I have no idea :-/
LOVE. THEM. I envy Max Bemis :-( I'd totally wife Sherri!
"...Eisley, Sara Bareilles, Carly Rae Jepsen, Incubus and Cake"
You're awesome.

Excellent choice! My first amp was a Little Dot MKIII and I absolutely loved it.. until I picked up my Woo :-) It literally put a smile on my face the first time I listened to it. Happy listening!
You don't, really. It depends on your tastes really. Tubes provide a certain type of warmth that I really enjoy. If you're familiar with guitar amps you might know the difference between a solid state amp vs. a tube amp and my preference is usually towards tubes. Also, I need the additional power provided to power a 250 ohm set of headphones, but you can certainly get enough power from a solid state amp.. but it provides a different flavor from tubes.
I'm not familiar with your setup but I'm sure it's a nice start! And yes, I do have a have a last.fm account. What's yours?

These two beauties are my loves. The headphones being Sennheiser HD650s and the big metal thing is it's amplifer. It's a Woo Audio WA6 headphone tube-driven amplifier and it makes in-depth listening an absolute joy :-)
It cost me a pretty penny to get both but music is my ultimate passion!
