One of the biggest things to take care of would be food. I figure small farms in houses would work. But city people don't do that (I should know, I was born in new York).

NASA is actually government funded. for now at least. but, i will defer you what TheDude1985 wrote. using his example, people are essentially free to pursue what they want (at least thats how i see it). so if someone wants to reach for the stars, they will.

just tried, didnt work. i dont know what it is, but it will activate, but any time i try to open something, it flickers then disappears. when i try to open it again, it flickers and disappears.
