Not to be rude but it sounds a bit bitter, I know several deaf people and they find their way to be happy and find love.

Everybody is always complaining about not fitting in, too fat, too ugly, too dumb, too deaf, we are all beautiful and there's always somebody who can make us happy (and lots of people who can make us misserable)

To be fair, the first time I held an iphone, I read "slide to unlock" and could't find what to slide.

I'm tech savvy but was a bit intimidated, I thought slide meant something globlally, kept sliding my finger all over the place except on the slider.

Several times in history there has been a user interface paradigm where people would say it's terrible, but when it became popular and everbody knew how to use it, it became a good UI.

Not defending the fold to unlock, though.

I have a similar story, but this girl who got in the accident was still unconcious when I got there, so I performed CPR for a few minutes, she started having seizures so I had to constrain her.

In the end, I saved her but she still got mad and went ballistic, what a bitch.

Turns out she wasn't unconcious.
