I don't believe most people are naturally greedy and corrupt. That mentality gives those people an excuse to act that way. Greedy/Corrupt people will chose career fields where they can easily take advantage of people so they are more visible.

I think maybe the smaller town cops are more likely to be corrupt. I live in a city and the cops are always nice and helpful- but they also have more important shit to deal with. I once went on a road trip with my friends and we were in the middle of nowhere and I got pulled over cause I swirved a bit, luckily I had a girl in the front seat. She said she was dancing and bumped into me. The cop went to his car then came back and said "show me how you were dancing" she then danced a bit jiggling her boobs and saving us. He then said "alright kids be careful"

Well bike lanes could never be a true source of transportation here (like Holland for example) cause its too hilly. Buses could work but they are still buses. I would like to see an expansion of the light rail. I love the system Portland has it's awesome.

They have a warranty- When my xbox red-ringed I called microsoft and they sent a box then sent it off. They fixed it in a week and sent it back. All done for free.

Yeah let's spend 3 hours to get to work. Fun! Both options only work for some people. Riding a bike from Bellevue to Seattle??? That's ridiculous as an everyday commute. Bus would only work along major routes and the bus isn't 100% reliable. Sometimes they don't show or are late so u miss a transfer. Please think outside your own world.

The approach has no humanity and that's what bothers me. The number of deaths are irrelevant, if any civilians die and destruction of major centers of the country occur there is going to be a major reaction. This isn't a war torn country, we just don't have 3000 people die at once from a man made event. So saying "Oh 3000 deaths is no big deal" is awful and disgusting. Most Americans had been affected by it or known someone who was affected. I agree our government has gone to far with security, so lets attack that instead of trying to minimize what happened to make a point. It's a cheap shot.

I agree...we don't live in a war torn country so an attack on that scale is devastating. I'm shocked more people aren't calling this out. It's one thing to say "The government overreacted" it's another to say "it's a small number."

It's like saying I have 20 family members and one was killed but it's no big deal cause it was one. As an American we were emotionally connected to the event because so much of our culture and history surrounds New York. You also don't think sitting in your office one day something like this would happen. I have a feeling most of these people are not American so they don't understand.

Apartment Manager here- It's going to be tough right now to secure a place for August. Rentals are going fast right now so nobody would want to hold it for you. With my experience we get a months notice then 2 week turnaround so that time frame before you move in would be best. A lot of places should be opening up in the next couple months too. (About half of my leases end between June-August)

That said, The most popular area is Capitol Hill and would probably be your best bet if you don't have a car and/or work downtown. I may have openings for August coming up but I won't know until possibly the end of this month or the next ( I can let you know if i do!) If you still want to look at places when you visit I can list some openings that I know of with other buildings in Capitol Hill. Just let me know!

It's only cheap if the tickets are low in demand generally if a show sells out the price more than doubles. I've had 50$ tickets turn into 150$.
