I thought about the exact same thing the other day, it's much more scary the Diablo 2 way. Same with all the other bosses in Diablo 2 really, you don't have the time to get prepared like you do in Diablo 3. The boss fights in Diablo 3 kinda reminds me of playing Zelda (N64 ->).
I also hated the endless teasing pre-Azmodan. Holy shit it took forever to get to him while that spider kept saying "you're close now" in every new room I entered. It reminded me of iNcontroL's announcement of an announcement in the StarCraft 2 community, if you know anything about that :P

Baal dropped an Eth Andy's today as well, very good day online so far.
:((( that's why I don't run baals public, 4box and someone else gets the hr drops, that's devastating :/
i'm gonna have to think about it anyways, gotta decide what to make first.

for reference; I sold a perfect Death's Web (perfect on the - res and the +2 that is) for a Vex. It was etheral though, but who cares if it's etheral on a caster. And I know some other decent dwebs have been sold for ist and gul etc depending on stats.

too bad the leech rolls are low, but it's still a nice ring. Don't vendor it, 10 all res, some life and some strength. A very good ring imo
