Ian Prior, Guardian Journalist's thoughts on Londonderry being the 2013 City of Culture. by SomethingTerminalin northernireland

Your headline is a little misleading as the article is not written by him but you are spot on that he's been a twat about it all.

Either he's trying to make a bit of a name for himself or he really is that stupid. Im tempted to fire off an email to the Guardian's editor.

This is the first time I have ever heard Ireland compared to a miscarriage and as an Irish person living in Ireland let me just say....

I approve.

American about to move to Dublin - Advice on location and general 'you should know...' type things by daemonwolfin Dublin

I just noticed I said Rathmines there, I meant Ranelagh! Not that there's anything wrong with Rathmines but Ranelagh is better. They're next door anyway.

Or you can live on the south side near the Luas line which will drop you pretty much outside work.

Number 1 thing you'll notice is how small the place is, not just Dublin but the whole country.

Look on daft.ie for places to rent and find something you like the look of, if its on the south side near the Luas then chances are it's a good area but check with me if you want to be sure. Make sure to check they allow animals.

Try Rathmines first and take it from there, its a great place to live for a couple your age.

simply because they are absolute jerks.

I read as many replies from srsers there that I could before had to reach for the bleach and a glass. I am at a complete loss as to how blinded by their own hatred they can be.

Venice is beautiful by zeb1in pics

[–]GazUtd 2 points3 points ago

Venice is something you must absolutely see before you die but one or two days max is more than enough, it is really boring after that. Plus it is horrendously overpriced and the food is awful.

It really depends on the time of year you go, generally the hotter it is the worse the smell.

Also Venice is filthy and it smells and I've sniffed that pic a lot, for science, and can report it doesn't smell.
