A lot of the same gear as you stuffed in an Army duffle bag across the passenger seat. You can fit an astounding amount of crap in one of those.

Get some speed and be in a gear that has your rpm high. For me, that would be around 6 to 7 thousand. While doing nothing else flick the kill switch off, count to two, and flick it back on again. You should hear a very satisfying bang that sounds a lot like a gun going off behind you.

Don't worry about your bike lurching to a stop or anything like that. The engine is already at speed and the momentum of the bike is more than enough to carry on. Don't clutch or brake, don't let off the throttle, and don't mess with your key. Just hit the kill switch long enough for vapors to build up in your pipes.

This might not work with all bikes and I know it won't work with fuel injection. My bike has four carbs and four pipes, so that's probably a factor.

You're right that that's not a pin, but they can pin quite easily in the jar. I would expect it to happen here.

If it pins on you, let it go until it starts getting big or for as long as possible. If you feel like you really need to birth the cake, go for it. Give it a nice dunk in cool water and carefully scrape off any verm that's not colonized yet.

You'll be fine. That's a nice healthy cake you have there.

Didn't mean to come across that way. It's just that I've seen a lot of faux finishing and I've seen a lot of poor attempts at it. I've screwed it up myself in the past. It looks very easy, and it is, except that it's also very easy to pick the wrong colors and techniques.

What fallibilism did was very bold, but it worked extremely well. He also put a ton of work into it. I wouldn't have had the guts to try something that ambitious.

I'm not sure why it works so well on mine, but it sounds like a shot gun going off. It could be the four carbs and four pipes. I get the best results coasting down a steep hill with the engine briefly off. It keeps the rpms up while vapors build. My bike cackles and pops a lot during deceleration anyway.

It's not something I do very often, but I can't resist it in a tunnel when riding with a friend. One of these days that trick is going to leave me stranded.

I don't have your bike, but I have your engine. What fireinthesky says about V-4s is very true. They strike a great balance between torque and RPM. You really the best of both worlds. That engine is a race-work-horse.

I was under the impression that plasma donation was a separate process and not a part of normal blood donation. I will definitely sign up to donate again the next time the blood mobile comes to my work.
