When people do this, it drives me crazy. by GeneralMakaveliin geek

Nope, it doesn't. I looked into it when I bought a 4S. It's said they use an aluminosilicate knock off, but they definitely do not use gorilla glass.

Between parent and child maybe. Between grand niece and grand uncle, not so much. Further, I surely hope you're not suggesting that those who are related to the insane should be sterilized.

It's laughable that I asserted that a dozen factors relating to price changes have a high chance of having changed the price versus a single cause? This is a far cry from the bullshit claim you were making a few posts ago. 2/10, second rate trolling, would not waste time on again.

Hey that reminds me of another group! Oh right, free-market capitalists

I'm not sure where you're going with this.

But actually, socialism started out as an egalitarian and anarchistic notion, the same cannot be said for capitalism.

  1. What does it matter how it started out if we're trying to figure out what it means now?, 2. where exactly did it "start out"? That's going to be a pretty contentious issue all on its own.

Depends on how you define most, but the US did very well for itself before we had a strong state.

In what way does simply proclaiming that someone is "obfuscatory and full of shit" indicate that you have read them at all, much less studied them carefully and developed a thought-out critique of their ideas?

You would have to read the work to make any such assertion. Anyone willing to judge that which they haven't even bothered to examine isn't worth arguing with.

You constantly whine about people insulting you for calling you ignorant, but baseless opinions like this are the definition of ignorance.

I'm not getting it. You just recognized that I've examined his ideas, yet you're now asserting again that I have not.

The entitled way you throw around ignorant comments as if their value and equal worth were absolutely guaranteed by the mere fact that you possess them is an insult to all of the people who devote their lives to thinking and writing about these ideas.

I have no idea what this means. It is gibberish. It looks like the synthesis of our opposing ideas is a meltdown on your end.

I'm accepting there might be multiple causes. I'm calling the fact that you think that's the cause laughable.

Please point out where I asserted what the precise cause was.

What do you think is the worst movie MST3k ever used? by GIVEMEREPLAYin MST3K

[–]GIVEMEREPLAY[S] 0 points1 point ago

I might be ill, but I think the movie is kind of decent. Silly, yes, but it's really just a Conan the Barbarian knock off, and the quality of production/acting/writing isn't that bad, geometric nucleus aside.

The ugly do not follow that reasoning because disfiguring the handsome will not make them handsomer.

It absolutely would. "Handsome" is a term defined relative to those in the group under consideration. If you grow up in a small Amish town and never meet an outsider, you might be the handsomest and most sought after person by far. If you drop those same people into NYC, you are now going to be considered drastically less attractive in comparison to the high volume of attractive people available to compare you to. Same goes for smartness.

That's my entire point- there are no good times in the modern usage of keynesianism. It's a cycle of recession, tenuous escape, then recession.

The fact that it's black and white adds to the blandness. I agree, one of the hardest to watch. Not the worst, if only because the acting is OK and the story is obviously good, but like you said the riffs are sparse.

You may very well choose what country you live in. So why are you opposed to the state (public hierarchy) and not the capitalist (private hierarchy)?

You can choose to subsistence farm and be untouched by capitalists. You cannot choose to disengage from a national government anywhere in the world. If you could I might feel differently.

I think previous to that he was a ruthless politician, but no different in moral composition than Julius Caesar, King Henry or Mao.

Neither Henry nor Caesar were genocidal, but might well have been evil. Mao was evil and genocidal.

So you have no idea or evidence has to how fast they actually change, your only reason for thinking it probably doesn't change quickly is that one can delete cookies quickly (though we have no testing to show that prices do in fact change more than once in a blue moon if you delete cookies), yet you're willing to call my argument that there might be multiple causes laughable.

Socialism is the fridge, a particular ideology. Subsets of socialism include the things in the fridge.

Collective ownership and cooperation are the two and only two tenets of socialism.

As defined by a guy on reddit no one's ever heard of. Forget all of the famous socialist figures throughout history who said otherwise, the Great Bovedieu has spoken!

You're a fool and a blowhard.
