Help with my wolf deck. by ExternalInfluencein magicTCG

[–]ExternalInfluence[S] 0 points1 point ago

As far as concentration goes, I agree with the token idea. I think it would be ideal to have a bunch of mayors and huntmasters to pump out wolves and then things like immerwolf and adaptive automaton to make them bigger. Getting out 2/2s is cheap because 2/2s aren't very good so I think that to maximize output of tokens and then maximize lord benefit to those tokens would get the weenie demeanor I'm looking for.

Yeah, I'd love to get the ranger in there.

First of all, why in the name all things would I put avacyn's pilgrim in instead of lawnmower elves?

What I was thinking for a change would be a little bit of a revamp and just solidify the deck. The absolute minimum count for a card being 3 and that in extreme situations. I completely hate the notion of getting rid of pyreheart wolf and hinterland hermit as these two guys have decided games more times than not, "Ok, so you have 6 creatures meaning you can block 3 things and 2 of the 3 have to go to blocking these great huge wolves, have fun!" They were part of the reason I decided to go with wolves in the first place.

I'm reluctant to give up scorned villager because they let me muscle out enough mana to pull through when I'm starved and they turn into a good sized creature late enough into the game where I don't really need the mana anymore. I like because it fits with the other wolves and can get more mana out for me if I need it.

Also, Huntmaster of the Fells is great, doing tons of damaage, pumping out wolves and giving life, but that is for when you are prepared to flip him a hole bunch.

I don't really like transforming but some werewolves I find essential such as the mayor of avabruck. Wolfir avenger seems fine but what to get rid of for it is debatable. I want to keep feed the pack and wolfbitten captives because they tend to work together nicely (have some immerwolves out, howlpack alpha, pump up the flipped captive and sac for many, many 5/5 wolves.) but I could see getting rid of it for solidity.

Mind you, this deck is built with only the cards which I own. I tend to gravitate towards a simple, strict, and efficient deckbuilding style. My ideal vision of the deck would be:

  • 4 Young Wolf
  • 4 Pyreheart Wolf
  • 4 Immerwolf
  • 4 Hinterland Hermit
  • 4 Mayor of Avabruck
  • 4 Adaptive Automaton
  • 3 Moonmist
  • 3 Lightning Bolt
  • 3 Feed the Pack
  • 3 Rally the Forces

The is a simple and straightforward as I could brew up. I always have a consistent, reliable advantage or I'm dead. Ideally, all decks would have for artifact lands of the corresponding color because those are simply great. Some of the cards you wanted me to add I think are great and think should add. I'll try to figure out what to add from what you mentioned and what to cut. I really want to get daybreak ranger in there if nothing else. Then Wolfir Avenger for some support. I'll see.

Yes! I twink the shit out of my wizard just so that I can properly go, "A hefty sized crowed, but no match for my deathbeam... bwoawoawoaw gone."

I don't fell that I'm being an elitist. Pardon my indirectness and poor articulation. What I objected to was the notion that twinking your character was to make the game easier. I, instead of pointing just that out, proceeded to mention an alternative mental position in the whole thing. I gave and answer as to why I twink if not to make it easier without first stating that I don't do it to make the game easier and I apologize for that.

I'm gonna work for my loot and hand craft my gear.

Dude, fuck that. I don't feel accomplished about anything in the game anyways so I'm just gona twink the shit out of my toon, make him look as badass as possible and then go pretend to be a motherfucking demonslaying wizard badass. That's all I want.

Holy shit. Now, as it refers to your sideboard, it is to my understanding that your sideboard can contain any number of any given card. Does this mean you could have 15 Artisans of Kozilek in my sideboard, use this ability and then have 15 of the same card on the battlefield?

Why is it that one is able to 'hear' their thoughts? by unomalyin askscience

This is not a philosophical question. This is a question asking why the way we interpret our thoughts is the same as the way we interpret spoken words. This is neurology.

10 million dollars would completely change my life forever. No more worrying about any debts, I can go and do whatever I see that I want to do and experience fully the whole world and maybe even invest in current causes.

Literally anything. I could wake up one morning and think, "It would be cool to own a video game company." and just go and hire the most badass developers and designers ever and make the first game on the top of my head just happen and then make a little more money. I could make the most badass thing ever and sell it for like 3 cents.

Seeing an dinosaur for 10 minutes would disclose a great curiosity, at least. It could answer the only questions I ever wanted answered. But then I would go back to life with only the memory of seeing a dinosaur.

10 million dollars, no doubt.

First time I ever heard such a term. Makes me think of Primordial Hydra. Running red/green whenever I see the Primordial Hydra I can only think, "Wish I was running black, want a doom blade, need a doom blade."

[–]ExternalInfluence 0 points1 point ago

They're being freed from the curse by becoming it. At first they were ferocious, uncontrollable beasts that were constantly trying to stay human but one part of their soul was fighting the human side. Avacyn joined them into one controllable creature. They never have to be an evil monster and are now their own creature, wholly and totally.

Yeah, the angles seem cool but pretty OP. Hell, the big card of the set is an 8 cost 8/8 Flying, Vigilance, and it and all your permanents are indestructible... 8 cost 8/8 with Flying and Vigilance is good enough but then it goes and makes EVERYTHING, including itself, indestructible.

EDIT: BTW, don't give me any "O-ring it!" or other exile crap. That's bullshit, I role green and this makes it so no matter how big and bad my creatures are, they are all indestructible. I don't want to be forced to use a color that I don't care to use. I like green and this nullifies it with absurd overpower.
