The rule I go by is 10% increase in clock speed = 30% increase in heat output.
Thats a big overclock, but if you can cool it, you can clock it.

As much as I appreciate the help, prices vary so much between people, you can't really say that one specific bike will be cheap.
It all depends on the area (maybe there's a high level of theft for those bikes), the age and experience of the rider and value of the bike.

Alas, the insurance is a killer.
This is true. £1200 ($1900) for no restriction that I cant legally ride. With the restrictor, I cant even get a quote.

Ninjas get stolen ALOT around here so the insurance is sky high.... CBRs are all new. No old ones exist here so again, very high insurance...
Nothing that R&G crash bungs wont sort out.

I've run insurance quotes and its too expensive. 400's are too expensive too.
I've been using go compare to get an idea of cost. I am well aware that Go Compare is not the price bible.
Not writing off per se, but I would need to find a sweet spot between brand new and expensive and so old the parts just dont exist.
