I'll be visiting 42 of the continental 48 states this year. What's the best local brew in each state? by Simply_Amazingin beer

I wouldn't say Spotted Cow is the best we have to offer.

What's a rule in baseball that you think is kinda weird? by Noonethoughtofthisin baseball

I did not know this... weird.

What's a rule in baseball that you think is kinda weird? by Noonethoughtofthisin baseball

[–]AisoRed 3 points4 points ago

You are correct. The need for the rule is very easy to explain. The rule itself, with all of the conditions, is the tough part.

And as far as balks go, I'm not sure half the umps in the league understand it either.

I'm going to go with ground rules in general. The fact that every single ball park has different dimensions and oddities is one of the reasons why baseball is so unique!

The infield fly rule is tough to explain to people, but I definitely think it is needed. Balk is a weird one too, I agree.

Not a Cheesehead but I love this beer by offthewoodsin beer

I wouldn't say this beer is great, but it's extremely drinkable and has a ton more flavor than any of the big brands. I prefer their Moon Man.

Any ideas on the geographic location of the districts? by vlk4in Hungergames

[–]AisoRed 2 points3 points ago

I think District 13 needs to be in the northeast. Remember, the people from District 8 needed to go past 12 to get to 13.

The Marlins built a new park and didn't put in a dead-center camera? Awful. by stupidstuffjunkin baseball

I actually prefer the off-center camera angle.

I think it has to do with the racing sausage more than the festivals in the city. Besides, Festa Italiana is July 19-22.

Did nobody else notice the racial undertones with District 11 in the film? (spoilers) by pulledporksandwichesin Hungergames

[–]AisoRed 0 points1 point ago

There were definitely a mix of people in the District 11 scenes, but it did seem like more black people than white.

Anyone else want to see some sort of spin-off about the capitol before the fall? by mapadelphiain Hungergames

[–]AisoRed 0 points1 point ago

I had a friend mention he'd like to see a book from the Capitol's and control center's view of the first book as a spin off. It was definitely cool seeing it in the movie though!

Having not yet read the second and third books, I am worried about spoilers from them. Thankfully, though, most spoilers are for the movie/first book.

The movie was extremely shaky at times. I will say though, I thought they did a tremendous job with the tracker jacker poison scenes.
