"Ecument" is my own Anglicization of Greek "ecumene", which means the inhabited world; I thought it would sound cool when inhabitants refer to the entire cosmos as the ecument and the firmament. No stealsies.

Basic premise of this world is that it was populated in ancient times by humans and other lifeforms from earth with divine (alien) intervention.

Without an ocean, how do rain clouds form? Are there just endlessly circulating clouds that rain down and heat up some how only to rain again? Does the phenomenon that makes islands float ever make liquid water float? What kind of animals exist? I'd imagine a lot of flight adapted creatures. Gas-filled creatures maybe?
