Yeaaah. I agree.

This problem isn't limited to baseball, but baseball is a pretty good example of it. People make up narratives to fit the movie playing in their head. And I honestly believe 90% of it is based on how the guy's face looks.

Yeah, agree. The only exceptions are things like the Red Sox signing Crawford and having it go to shit on them. But in the aggregate, it is teams eating the back end of big contracts that were worth it.

I read lots here and will sometimes ask questions. My problem is I am quite a generalist - good enough to have a successful career working with lots of technologies, but expert (literally) in nothing. So I can't often give advice nearly as good as the specialists. I just upvote the advice that sounds most logical!

Band leaders are rarely perfectly nice. You pretty much have to be a dictator especially with so many musicians. I agree he probably has a darker side than the all loving hippy he makes out to be. I'm just saying that is kind of par for the course.

Saw them in Toronto. So good so good. Real fucking music. There were no seats and after the last big number Alex came off stage and got everyone to sit and he sat on the floor 15 feet from me and sang a very nice soulful number. Hippy stuff for sure but I have no problem with that.

Not if we can provide fresher ingredients. For example coffee is influenced a lot by the quality and taste of the water used. You could invent coffee but whoever has the best water for it will make it the best, no matter where that is.
