You are going to die. Whether or not it is from whatever is ailing you now is up for grabs. Don't trust or put any credence in what random internet people tell you regarding health, law or women.

You are going to die.

::Spoiler alert:: please.

Sounds like panic attacks to me, only a genuine consultation with a doctor can really diagnose you though (obviously)

Panic attack maybe?

Well, I don't know much about them, but I had one while calmly watching tv. I had nothing important or stressful to do that day. Is a panic attack brought on by stress?

They can be brought on by stress, but they can also be very random and without triggers. Especially since you say this happened before in childhood, but has been increasing its frequency, that sounds a lot like panic disorder.

Ahem, this diagnosis brought to you by the Sopranos (seriously, your episodes sound/look exactly like his).

My niece had a couple of brain aneurisms and the effects were nothing like that. I don't know anything about tumors. I wish you luck though at the Doc's office.

Differential is probably: Migraines, seizure, drug toxicity

Very unlikely to be a tumor.

Really does sound like a panic attack. I've had them suddenly come on without any rhyme or reason with the same sort of symptoms.

Sounds sort of like Alice in Wonderland Syndrome. I used to get that occasionally as a kid, still do sometimes, but more rarely

Sounds similar though not identical to something I experienced a handful of times as a kid. It would usually only happen for a few hours after waking up, but everything seemed to be going unusually fast, like speech (mine and other peoples), movement, brushing my teeth, breathing... Every time it happened I would ask those around me if they noticed anything different but everyone said I was acting normal.

I haven't had it come up in probably 15 years, but it was always a little off putting. I've asked the two doctors in my family (a pediatrician and an OBGYN) if they've ever heard of anything similar but it was a noodle-scratcher for them too. My aunt who is a pediatrician said she was familiar with the opposite, feeling like everything was going in slow motion, but had never heard of a case like the mine (ours?).

I never had the nausea, maybe a little dizziness but nothing serious. So these could very well be different ailments (if they even are ailments), I've just never had anyone else explain that fast forward feeling or have any idea what I was talking about when I brought it up.

Hasn't happened to me in years though so I kinda stopped thinking about. Hopefully your situation turns out to be as benign.

Yes, that is exactly what happened to me. And I never experienced any other symptoms other than the sound distortions until last weekend. I would maybe have a few sound distortion episodes a year, very mild ones. So I never paid it much attention.

My dr explained it to me like this... I've probably always had a very mild form of epilepsy. A recent change he made to my prescriptions made seizures in those with epilepsy more common. So thats why my symptoms suddenly became more apparent in my 20s as opposed to when epilepsy is normally diagnosed, in childhood.

Hmmm, interesting. I never really sought treatment because it was never more than "well that's kinda weird and a little annoying." Hope it all works out for you.
