Ok, so the past couple days I've been having weird episodes. I lose awareness and seem to get lost in my own head. Every sound seems to go super fast and loud-- for instance, a fan sounds like a jet engine. Things move on the wall, and I get dizzy, and my stomach hurts. They last about 15-20 minutes. I've had similar episodes with the sound only in childhood, but I swear they are getting way more frequent and way more severe. I had three of these over a weekend. I'm going to the dr. today, but I was wondering if reddit had any opinions.
Honestly, it's kind of terrifying because I told my brother about it, and he jokingly said maybe I have a brain tumor. He was kidding, but it is still a possibility I guess.
Edit: forgot to add, my hands were clutching, then releasing without me doing it. And the last episode I had, I was shivering. I almost want to say it was like a seizure.
Edit 2: Thanks for all the answers. My doctor said he thinks it's something called absence seizures. He wants me to see a neurologist and get and MRI to rule out tumor and EEG to confirm his diagnosis. Worst part is, I can't drive until I get a definite diagnosis!
