Preemptively, I know the colors don't match up exactly. In retrospect, my tattoo artist was kind of dismissive about the tattoos because she mostly worked on big, elaborate pieces and these are pretty small (comparatively). I got the feeling she rushed just to get them done, but in any case, it doesn't bother me much... reminds me that imperfection is okay. :)

A memorial for my father.

This is my first tattoo (hopefully first of many, once I have the money). It's still not finished, it will hopefully be next fall. He was a marine, passed away of AIDS (contracted in battle) right before I turned five. That's his hand, with the tattoo he had on his forearm. The roses represent peace and my mother, whose middle name is Rose and who stood by his side until the end.

EDIT: Thanks to all that like it. This was only possible thanks to an amazing artist named Josh Wallis in Boston, MA. He deserves credit for his incredible talent.

I have two swallows on my boobs and a butterfly on my .. arm?

I've got another swallow on the inside of my arm.

And as of next week I'll have 'Game Over' on my knuckes in the arcadepix font because I'm an absolute loser.

Oh yeah, I've also got some lettering on my foot but most of the time I choose to forget about it. It's almost as bad as my butterfly :P I was 14 and instead of saying 'love faith hope' it actually says 'love falla hope' Lovely!

I used a magnifying glass to brand an image of a partial solar eclipse onto the back of my hand. There was a charred image of the solar disk with a circle bitten out by the moon, but the scar tissue doesn't show a clear image.

It's an ambigram. Says my last name, and if you flip it upside down it says my cousins last name. We are the closest thing to brothers that the two of us have, and he has the same tattoo (except his is flipped around =p)
