It works now. I remember dialing 911 when I was a kid to see what happened and it went to a message saying "911 is not the emergency number. Please hang up and dial 111 for emergency."

Greece: Officials are: 100 for Police, 166 for an Medical attention,.199 for the Fire Department.

Another one is 112 which is the emergency service number, but it's new and I doubt if anyone uses it. It's supposed to have a tracking system so that it can track the caller whether it's a cellphone or not.

Well fuck. Turns out of you dial 911 from a UK mobile phone you get through to the emergency services call centre.
