Wherein the monolog contains many true hypotheticals, and then calls doubt upon itself by portraying many of those hypotheticals.

This is what he is talking about . He is 100% correct, except for the ron paul save us bit at the end.

Kinda sad that he lumped 'welfare' in with war and debt. I have gotten really tired of this effort to portray the poor in the US as villainous, whether it's that they're lazy, they want handouts, or that they're unskilled. We're in the midst of expensive wars, economic collapse from a totally unregulated financial sector, a bloated, corrupt drug war, and these people want to blame the poor for our wretched state of affairs?

I hate the impression that all the rich people worked hard and all the poor people didn't. That's complete bullshit, most of the poor people I've met are constantly busting their asses just to scrape by, it's not like they sit around and pity themselves. Multiple jobs, attempts to pursue education, saving money... but it's not always as simple as 'go educate yourself and get a job.' How the fuck are you supposed to find a job when you can't feed yourself? When you don't have a home address? When there are no jobs? In fact, many of the unemployed and underemployed are over-educated. It's like the population grew but the wealth didn't seem to. It's all been concentrated at the top, and the fat cats are looking down and telling us we need to cut welfare, cut programs that serve the poor, cut education, cut infrastructure, cut taxes for the ultra rich! It's trickle down treason, the nightmare of the Reagan era resurrected.

This will go down in history as a period of staggering madness, I cannot wait for the weather to warm up so all the forgotten people in this country can swell into the streets and stall this entire machine.

He raised some great questions, but totally lost me by mentioning Ron Paul.

[–]ilovetacos 8 points9 points ago

He almost lost me when he mentioned Paul, but then totally lost me when he claimed that Paul was the solution to all of these problems.

Who, of the current candidates, is your alternative?

[–]ilovetacos 1 point2 points ago

I didn't say any of the other candidates were any better. But that doesn't mean that Ron Paul is the solution, either.

[–]ZackAttack007 -1 points0 points ago

Why did that lose you?

[–]tictoc44[S] 12 points13 points ago

What if Fox news actually produced thought provoking segments with substance and truth? O wait, yeah then they fire you.

[–]kagayaki 5 points6 points ago

I was under the impression that he was fired/let go because of ratings?

Of course, Fox Business != Fox News even though they are both owned by News Corp. Still, him and Shep Smith were the two of the few people on Fox (something) that seem to have any integrity; I wonder what he has plans for next.

[–]tictoc44[S] 0 points1 point ago

My comment was a little hyperbolic. You are probably right about the ratings thing.

His show and his message was a glitch in the Matrix.

i found myself screaming "WAKE UP SHEEPLE" less than a minute in. this guy gets my vote!

Pretty sure this is just him doing the same exact thing he accuses the politicians of doing, except crafted for a libertarian audience.

[–]all7days 0 points1 point ago

Agree with his policy views or not. He just wanted to point out how rubbish the Government is. And that it needs to have a complete overhaul.

The two party system is fundamentally flawed in its oversimplification of complex issues. I am happy we have a multiparty system in Canada, but those days are likely coming to an end as well.

[–]approaching236 2 points3 points ago

Did I just hear something sane from fox news? I want to throw up.

[–]Bbqwingz 5 points6 points ago

This isn't Fox News, it's Fox Business...which is much less of an "appeal to ignorant southern/conservative American Families" program.

[–]BusterD 0 points1 point ago

Fox News Channel

[–]vgarrett 2 points3 points ago

What if.
