It&amp;#39;s a weird mix of enlightenment and instinct: drug addiction, organized religion, stalker ex-boyfriends and obesity, we know these things are dangerous and wrong but we&amp;#39;re compelled to do them anyway.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;To me, these societal pains are promising results that humanity is, indeed, going through growing pains. Vitale,&lt;/em&gt; but was wondering if you all knew of any cases that extended this to how religious organizations are tax-exempt in American tax law as long as they do not endorse distinct political candidates? Despite the fact that many of these organizations do, indeed, actively contribute to service and philanthropic causes, they are religious institutions nevertheless.
